Advancing Biochar Innovation: AfriCN Partners with HaiQi Group for Technology Investment

Building on their commitment to sustainable development, AfriCN and the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC) signed a landmark 15-year agreement in July 2024. This long-term partnership focuses on three key areas:

  • Supply of Biomass – Ensuring a steady and reliable source of raw materials for biochar production.
  • Purchase of Biochar – Supporting agricultural and environmental initiatives by utilizing biochar for soil enhancement and carbon sequestration.
  • Land Lease – Securing space at the CDC industrial estate in Mondoni, Tiko, South West Region, for the construction of a state-of-the-art biochar production facility.

This agreement marks a major step toward environmental sustainability, economic growth, and industrial innovation in Cameroon. With a shared vision for a greener future, AfriCN and CDC are paving the way for transformative solutions in agriculture, energy, and climate resilience.
